Yes it's still an issue. And it's the same for Ubuntu 6.10, 7.04, 7.10, 8.04. If i want to have several installs of Ubuntu on the same machine, I have to fix menu.lst after every install and every kernel-upgrade. -- wrong partition for "boot=" in grub.conf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/41925 Y
