In Ubuntu 10.04 (Firefox 3.6.3) I can already play the above mentioned
video, but I'm getting no sounds. Opening it with Totem from
/home/your_username/.mozilla/firefox/qzmk7jxw.default/Cache works
correctly, so the file's not broken. Could somebody try it?
Don't worry, I'm not switching to Window

Thank a lot, it really works. But I still can't play this:

either. I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 and it works with 9.04. I
have tried to downgrade the gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg plugin to version

I had some streaming video on cbc.ca/news yesterday, but it seems some
updates have made them unviewable. I also cannot take advantage of
Moonlight enabled websites, even though I tried with both the official
release and the Beta 2.
I can't find any combination of plugins that solve the problem. T
Different combinations of plugins work well with some media but not
others. I have had some problems as well in Karmic that weren't an issue
in Jaunty.
Silverlight does not seem to be working at all.

I didn't know how to make a new profile so I just made a new user
account thinking that would set everything back to scratch and the
problem with the play button still exists. I did file another bug report
from the new user acc. Maybe different information to work with?

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become
corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new
profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your
old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to
