saw version 0.4.9, not realizing it was updated for Lucid.

may cause issues with Kubuntu.

Could PK please be update to 0.5.4 in the repos? As some of you know, the 0.5.4
version brings lots of new features/fixes, both to PK and the apt and aptcc

This is unlikely to happen for karmic. The new packagekit needs the new
policykit,
and there isn't a Qt frontend for that yet. This means that KDE users wouldn't
really be able to use the new packagekit, and they are currently the main users.
