I did not have this problem with the last KDM theme. In fact, if I
switch it back to the Oxygen KDM theme this problem is solved. It's only
with the new KDM theme.

It was actually a bug that it wasn't enabled until 4.3.0. They actually
had to re-upload the 4.3.0 tarballs to correct the mistake. They forgot
to copy a file when they put the theme in the RC.
Anyway, seems
Same here. Screen 1920x1080. But background shorter x 1080. Probaly 4:3.
And the new login screen doesn't look great:
1) too blurred
2) "welcome to ..." text too blended in
3) username & password fields too apart
4) overall feeling... i don't know ... "photoshoppish", but not professional.
