I did *NOT* have his problem with Feisty; I now have it with Gutsy using
KDM/Kubuntu.
I first installed with Ubuntu Live CD, added KDE...login was messed up
with *both* of them.
Downloaded Kubuntu Gutsy DVD and reinstalled, login screen still messed
up.
I have an HP DV5000 series laptop with 15.
Fixed in latest kubuntu-default-settings uploaded.

Thanks for catching this on Edgy. I'll fix it (KDM and Ksplash will need
to be changed..note that the date text might also run into the logo at
top-left).

Edgy beta is much better in this regard, but due to large font,
username/password input fields overlap the enter icon on right. See
attachement.
