totem-plugi
Same thing here. In Firefox Totem just freezes up and the process
sometimes hangs so I have to kill it from TTY1. Before I installed the
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad package, totem didn't die, it just never tried
to load the stream.
Among the streams I'm trying to watch is this: http://www.nrk.no/net
totem opened and after a few seconds crashed when trying to watch the
stream from this site:

I did some digging through lp and found several similar bugs>
every bug is reported in different package! but stacktrace seems to be the same
crash.
