My USB mouse is working fine again.
I don't remember the exact date this happened, because I have had a lot of
other things on my mind during the summer holiday, but this has been the case
for weeks (sorry that I haven't reported this earlier).

Short status report: Currenty, no USB device survives hibernation
(keyboard, mouse, audio, harddisk). It also does not help to simply plug
them out and in again, one has to put them into a different USB port.

Just wanted to add that after hibernation is working again, USB drives
still do not survive hibernation. They are just remounted on resume.
Consequently, hibernation should fail if they cannot be unmounted
before.
