I can confirm it too (Bluefish 1.0.4 in Dapper). Shouldn't this bug be
changed to "confirmed" ?

Yes, Alastair, that's right. I don't know, who is responsible for the
Ubuntu package (in Debian we have a central point, if the maintainer
doesn't react). I wrote Daniel Holbach last week and offered to care
about the Ubuntu packages too, but didn't get any answer. Maybe you
should contact the last

So ask your MOTUs to add the necessary "patch" target to the
debian/rules file, which was forgotten by the last MOTU packager of
bluefish.

I can definitely say that this happens on my dapper system running
bluefish 1.0.4. Every time I try to use the quick start dialog, bluefish
crashes.
