see that the plantronics DSP 400 is detected in available hardwares.

Somewhere during the upgrade from Unbuntu 8.10 to Ubuntu 10.10, my
Plantronics DSP-400 USB stopped working property. I think the problem
came with Ubuntu 09.04.
This Plantronics headset has excellent quality and although I do have

Updated to Karmic: sound successfully transferred to\from headset via
pulseaudio applet.
However both volume applet and headset's hardware control change volume of
default sound card only (hda-intel) regardless of what is actually is in use.
