Thanks, Corey. Since there aren't any new comments from pl4nkton, I
close this bug now.

@Martin Pitt
This was a hardware problem for me. Now my keyboard does not work in any OS.
Including EFI. Earlier the keyboard would only *eventually* stop working in
linux. Given the time I spent in OS X and linux were about equal does this
indicate linux is less robust to reconnect cycles than
pl4nkton, any news from you? Are you still affected? Does comment 1
help?

I tried applying the change recommend in #1
sudo mv /lib/udev/rules.d/70-hid2hci.rules{,.disabled}
this did not resolve the issue.

This bug also effects me. I have a MacBook Pro 3,1 ; karmic ( 9.10 ) ;

Do you still get this in current karmic? This reminds me a bit of bug
392144.
If you still get it, as a shot into the dark, can you please do
sudo mv /lib/udev/rules.d/70-hid2hci.rules{,.disabled}
sudo update-initramfs -u
reboot, and check if it still happens? If not, please revert with
