I am now running Karmic and I confirm that I have no problems with any
tearing. Graphics are awesome!

I can confirm that upgrading to 9.10 solves the problem! Flash in fullscreen
behaves just like at Windows!!! I never hoped it will be fixed, I thought it
flash bug, not xorg. Anyway, much thanks for developers! You are great!

Thanks John, the tearing issue is a known problem on Jaunty which needs
a kernel fix, available in 2.6.31. The fix is too complicated to safely
backport to Jaunty via the SRU process unfortunately.
Whether you update your kernel or not, could you do one other thing for
us, and test to see if this
