If it's owner is set to root then change the ownership to . Worked

Bit more information. Since k9copy works on unprotected DVDs,
technically doesn't "depend" on libdvdcss.
If possible, the k9copy should at least "suggest" libdvdcss.

Running Ubuntu Karmic Koala x86 and ran into crash issue. Did not have
libdvdcss2 installed. Adding medibuntu repositories and installing
libdvdcss2 solved the issue.
Solutions:
* make libdvdcss a dependency of k9copy
** Con: libdvdcss not available in the Ubuntu repositories
* contact k9copy deve
Just got it to work by installing every DVD backup program I could find
(DeVeDe, dvdRip, Dvd95) and then reinstalling libdvdcss with these
instructions:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/PlayingDVDs. It will
now open a encrypted DVD and am in process of making a backup.
