Open files limit in /etc/security/limits.conf is ignored.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392752
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
I'm logging in as a non-root user, which is the usual way I login.
$ grep nofile /etc/security/limits.conf
#- nofile - max number of open files
* soft nofile 2048
* hard nofile 2048
In case you're wondering why I don't have "sudo" preceding the commands,
it's because I ran them in a root
I can't reproduce this problem here. How are you logging in to the
system, and as what user? What does 'grep nofile
/etc/security/limits.conf' show?
