This affects me too.
- Linux 2.6.35-24-generic Nr.42-Ubuntu
- Ubuntu 10.10, 64-Bit
- Evolution 2.30.3
I'm using an IMAP email account. The IMAP server tends to create quite
long timeouts and Evolution randomly seems to loose the connection.
Maybe that is what causes my emails to magically appear
Forgot to say... for me , closing it doesn't sync up.

I'm using Maverick 10.10, all updates, tried IMAP, IMAP+, POP, no luck.
My system is 64bit, and is updated from 8.04.
