I am running a development version of Kubuntu karmic updated at least 2x daily. While trying to figure out why KDE 4.3 bogs down so regularly, I ran top and noticed that pulseaudio was consistently using >50-60% of the CPU on this Intel Core 2 Duo E 2160 with 4 GB of RAM. Am running one mp3. will
