Ubuntu better. I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the
latest development version of Ubuntu - Karmic Koala.

I can confirm this, however I believe it to have more to do with netbook
launcher than gnome-terminal. If I try to launch two gnome-terminals
out of the accessories tab, it works fine, but not if it has been
launched from the Favorites screen.

could this be a change introduced by the UNR folks?i don't get such
issue with the normal Ubuntu installation.
