Mark it wont bring you to your inbox or to gmail without changing
settings. If you havent already set it to take you there please do. If
it still happens file a bug against gmail-notifier

I'm seeing a problem with Feisty's Firefox and gmail-notify - right-
click on the gmail-notify icon, select "Go to inbox..." and nothing
happens. This was working correctly in earlier Ubuntu versions (Dapper,
Edgy).
I have not (as yet) installed the Mozilla version of Firefox, but will
do so for
It seems to have been caused by an extention to added to firefox.
Closing at this time if this is still a problem for anyone please reopen
the bug with more information.

I've moved off of Ubuntu, so I can't say. As best I can tell, it was
related to the fact that I had a copy of the Lightning extension installed,
and there was some sort of mismatch registering the xpcom components.
(Lightning provided a duplicate copy of xhr.)

That bug was marked a duplicate of bug 57888, which seems to be a more
likely culprit.
