The bug is only partly fixed. There are 3 possible firmware files,
currently only 2 are added. For a very common devices in germany the
firmware is still missing (AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N and AVM FRITZ!WLAN
USB Stick 2.4):

If anyone is watching this bug then I think that it is very important to
include the firmware soon so that appropriate testing can take place.
It adds support for a lot of devices and it would be a real shame have
to wait until next cycle or later to make use of the work that has
already been done
Seconded. It would be great to crow 802.11 n for karmic simply by including the
files.
Also great for my Netgear WN111v2 to work out of the box as I obviously don't
have the same skills as Tom.
