With the Karmic release now imminent, I decided to go back to the default package, libsdl1.2debian-alsa. sdlmame exhibits the same symptoms of skipping or garbled sound previously mentioned in this bug. This is followed by the sound being lost entirely, followed by sdlmame hanging. Reverting to th
