Here is the snapshot of the screen with frozen preview pane.
Note the message in the status bar: "Formatting message (...)" - the progress
indicator is continuously spinning.

Just the preview pane is frozen, the remaining functionality of Evolution
client works nornmally.
I will attach a screen-shot once it occurs again.
