You could send the bug the to the people writting the software
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME), Ubuntu is not writting
the code and not going to change that in an ubuntu specific way

Well Sebastien, I don't think that system log is directed to "everyone".
Obviously I also think 3d info is nowadays a useful info for a typical user;
let's think at a user that has problems to play a 3d game and want to discover
if, at least, 3d of his graphics card is enabled or not: in Windows
Thank you for your bug report but that information is not revelant to
users and the capplet is not a place to display xorg logs, you can use
the system log tool to do that for example
