Ok I enabled Compiz Fusion and run through all the tests again and I
also tested hibernate by hibernating with the power plugged in and
restoring it whilst on the battery.. and suspend by suspending whilst on
battery and restoring it with the power lead in.
Congratulations.. a clean slate with eve
Just tried hibernate again on Hardy Beta with latest updates and it
worked fine :D
This wasn't an exhaustive test though, I just hibernated while Firefox was open
and started the computer back up once it had completely shut down.
I'll try it again a little later for a longer period of time (maybe

Ok tested both hibernate and suspend whilst on battery and mains but
only short term for both. No problems from what I can see so far.
Internet connection re-establishes itself to the correct network, sound
comes back on (not tested recording sound yet though) and the graphics
seem fine :)

Can confirm this bug on a IBM Thinkpad T60, after installing the package
"uswsusp".
When uswsusp is not installed hibernation works fine, after installing uswsusp
this bug occurs.
output of sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh (with uswsusp installed):
There is already a pid file /var/run/dhclient.ath0.p
My laptop would hibernate in 6.06
