If you're using Linux Mint, why has this bug been assigned to the Ubuntu
grub package? The behavior you describe doesn't sound like the standard
Ubuntu grub setup; I think you may need to take this up with the Linux
Mint developers instead.

and the command "sudo fdisk -l /dev/sda" (make sure you include the "-l"
in the previous command!)? Do you see Windows XP as an option in the
