This bug can be closed. As i mentioned above updating to a latest release fixed
the issue. After that I encountered another issue for which i filed the

This issue again deals with sound. I waited for a while and then

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try

This bug has been fixed. I updated to Ubuntu 8.10 and it resolved all my
issues... Now it works wonderfully.
