I also have this issue on Ubuntu 9.10. Enabling wireless is greyed out when resuming. A temporary work around is to perform the following after a resume from suspend. 1. killall knetworkmanager 2. sudo killall NetworkManager 3. sudo NetworkManager & 4. knetworkmanager 5. Wait about 10-15 seconds a
