There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and
your problem may have been fix
attached syslog file.
The problem occurs at 18:36 when "internet" stops working, I restarted
the networkmanager at 18.42
The errors on b43 is something which already happened in hardy (which
didn't have the above problem).

Will be added in a couple of hours, don't have access to the machine
right now.
It's been ongoing since the original report. After every +- 30 minutes
of inactivity the network drops out, nothing is wrong with the network
itself. And when I restart NetworkManager as above the desktop crashes.

Some extra information, the NetworkManager remains running while this
problem occurs. And as workaround instead of rebooting you can do a
"sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager restart"
