Ok, some update...
In another session created just after the installation, that I just
opened, open-office integrates fully...
Is there a conf file that I should check, (I suppose yes) but which? And
what to do about it?

Apparently, maximus doesn't have control on the OOo window. Playing with
parameters of maximus with gconf-editor doesn't change anything.
