Russel, there will be some gconf-key introduced "soon" :) which will
allow some (title-/body-font, bubble-bg-color, bubble-bg-opacity, text-
fg-color, text-shadow-color) level of flexibility, but taking colors
directly from GTK+ notify-osd will not do by design.

This is not a duplicate, and it is not invalid either. It is asking to
use the GTK theme for the color of the bubbles themselves, whereas bug
35 is about the color of the brightness/volume gauges in particular.

this is not a duplicate. it deals with a different issue. this bug wants
the notification system to fallow gtk themes. aka change colour based on
system settings. the other bug ( the one you say was duplicated
