Problem solved and apparently not caused by Ubuntu, solution found on

I tried to remove localstore.rdf file in /home/user/.mozilla folder but
it does not change anything.

Hello,
I have the same problem since 2 days : when I bookmark a new page or
made some changes in my stored bookmarks, then close Firefox and reopen
it, all the changes are gone, bookmarks are the same than there were
last wednesday...
I tried to disable al the extensions, thinking perhaps problem
