The filelist is no longer on my system. It was several hundred gigs of
audio/video content.
The application appeared to freeze when I attempted to open the list,
and then crashed (I assume since the apport crash dialog came up) when I
tried to close the program.

Can you please attach the filelist which caused the problem? You can
find it usually in ~/.dc++/FileLists/.
Also, you mentioned that the application froze (e.g. the window exists
but you can't interact with it), but the bug indicates it crashed. Which
of these two scenarios occurred?
