I found a few folders that are responsible for the crashes. It looks to
me that these are pictures that I shrinked with image magic.
That is right now all I can say because I can't access my system. It

Can you install digikam-dbg package and reproduce the crash?
You could probably also find the photo that causes crash by running the digikam
with "strace" command, which will list all system calls, including open() calls
which are used to open photo files.
