I have come up with a fix for the "stuck key" bug. My patch, which works
on Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10, is attached.

I also have this issue with Ubuntu 9.04 and SearchandRescue. It seems
whatever key is pressed first doesn't get cleared. I don't have this
problem on ubuntu 9.10, but it's also a different machine, so it might
be hardware related.
