When I do:
$ evolution mailto:f...@bar.com
the "Compose message" dialog appears OK. However, when you close it
using the X button on the top-right, the window closes but the program
hangs in the terminal. I need to press ^Z and then:
$ kill %1
to terminate it.

Sorry for the nominating, Sebastien. It's rather extrange: I just do:
$ sudo apt-get --reinstall install libindicate0
and now it works. I don't know why. It seems to be a hard disk failure
of something similar.
Thanks very much for the libindicator clue. I'll close this bugreport
now.

there is also no need to nominate all the issues you are getting for
jaunty you can let the maintainer do that when they get enough details
for such issues

issue is a libindicator one apparently but that didn't change for
several days now, or do you use a non jaunty version?
