Public bug reported: The static DNS servers for Claro (BR) do not work. Telling NetworkManager to automatically detect them works (it currently uses 200.169.119.22 and 200.169.118.22 for me, but people have reported 200.169.119.22 and 200.169.117.22 instead, for instance http://orientalnafamilia.blogspot.com/2008/09/dns-da-claro-3g-no- linux.html).
I would suggest removing the static DNS servers and letting it autodetect.
