Really this is an annoying situation. last month I faced that kind of
problem. But LongPath Tool helped me to delete fixed/error file.

This problem also in fat32 file system.
I suggest to put options in Preferences to delete images when pressing delete
key permanently.

can't just run through my images and delete the bad ones.

...why, yes it *is* on an NTFS partition.
it works fine with images on my desktop.
though still I'd like to get rid of the "do you want to delete this
image?" message.
