I just did the test with the live cd. The problem seemed to be solved right now.
However there's something I want to mention (don't know if nessecary to create
a seperate bug report for it):
1) My default keyboard layout is to 'België' = azerty keyboard, however when
typing in the test-tex

If you can or when you have the time, please try with the 10.04 beta
(http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/). You don't have to go through the
entire install, just to the keyboard setup page to verify that the bug
is fixed.
