I just had something very similar happen on another computer, also an
upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04 done yesterday. The final menu.lst only
referenced older kernels. I think that perhaps the installer first
created a new menu.lst using both 2.6.27-11 and 2.6.28-11, and then
later made a new menu.lst
