well when it crashes none of the programs work i cant click anything
(but still able to move mouse) it gets stuck on the last thing i was
doing so then i just hold down the power button until it turns off then
start again

What exactly happens when it "crashes"? Does the whole desktop freeze up
(including the mouse) or does a single application disappear without
warning or lock up (freeze)? What exactly are you doing when Ubuntu
"crashes"?
