I'm observing this bug as well in Kubuntu 9.10 using either dragon
player or bangarang. I'm using ALSA and have pulseaudio removed. I never
saw this problem in Ubuntu 9.10.
The firefox xine plugin does the same thing (though that might be
because it just embeds dragon player?)

- As it was said in another comment: it keeps happening in the Dragonplayer of
Kubuntu 9.10
- I've tried the bug in two different computers and the result is the same
- KMplayer plays perfectly this file in Kubuntu 9.10, in the same computer
where Dragonplayer has problems

Bugs,
I am having the same problem with Dragon player in 9.10. flv files are
not associated with dragon player but when opened the video plays but
the sound is just static noise.

In Kubuntu 9.04 The same happens in two computers I administer.
