Thanks for taking care of this.
I got Lucid installed and don't have troubles like that anymore.
I just copied a folder structure to my WebDAV share, and in the logs
there's only one MKCOL for each folder.

Same problem for me : sometimes it refuses to copy a folder saying the target
already exists. And then i have to click "ignore" and so the copied folder is
empty.
It is not usable.
