It turned out the problem was that the plugin didn't actually get upgraded. removing the folder ~/.local/share/gnome-do and adding the plugin again helped. Both the trunk and the version in jaunty repos work. But perhaps there's a problem how the upgrade functions. Seems like the addin db isn't up
