ubiquity crashed with Asser
I experienced the same Ubiquity crash when the installer unmounted a
partition to make it available for the installer. The partition was on a
SATA disk.

Even though this bug has the same error message as bug 298997, it
doesn't seem like they are exact duplicates, at least not from the info
given. Thus, removing this bug as a dup.

ubiquity crashed with AssertionError in get_autopartition_choice
I experienced this exact problem while trying to install the jaunty beta
to an asus 1000HE, from a flash drive of course. Just as the original
poster described, ubiquity complains about the flash drive being
mounted.
I would like to add that the error message makes no sense. It asks if
