When using the regular switcher (not staticswitcher) emerald is
responsible for drawing the switcher window. Emerald is a port of a very
old version of gtk-window-decorator and thus still has bugs like this
that were fixed otherwise.

How do you know for sure that this is a bug in emerald and not compiz-
plugins? The screenshot you posted made it look like the bug may be
caused by the window preview plugin. Also, would you mind giving steps
to reproduce this bug, if possible, so that someone can confirm it.
