This is still an issue in Karmic with latest updates. Holding the Delete
key on your inbox like there's no tomorrow is the best way to reproduce
this bug.

I'm experiencing a similar issue. When running rdesktop with
Jaunty+compiz+gnome. While RDP'd to one or multiple MS boxes my desktop
will suddenly lock up. Except for the mouse. I usually launch my RDP
sessions from gnome-rdp, but I tried from the terminal to see if any
obvious errors would app
