Oh, yes, it was not a package putting objects on /usr/lib64 rather than /usr/lib on amd64 it was just that I had "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules" on ModulePath on xorg.conf. I don't know how that went in there and as I can't really track back the changes to that file I'll close this. Thanks. -- Compiz

While this is true, unless you're doing something weird the drivers _should_ be found under /usr/lib, not /usr/lib64. Is this on some strange system? Ubuntu policy is that native-arch libraries should be in /usr/lib, and on an amd64 install native-arch is 64bit. It's probably safe to change that
