Until the patch hits, according to the upstream bug, it looks like this
feature was mis-implemented to mean the exact opposite of what it meant
in the past. In other words, any characters you put in that box will be
used to _break_ words apart, rather than join them.
With that in mind, you can sti
A temp fix, which isn't 100%, is to remove everything in the word
characters for double-click selection setting, then it will work more or
less as before.

Yes that is true, but with such a huge regression, I thought it would be
bad for all users, that sometimes select something with konsole by
