Hi Chris,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid.
If it remains an issue
I have the exact same problem as described in the last post by Josh Kupershmidt.
The sounds works with USB headphones, meaning that all the codecs are set up
properly.

I have a very recent MacBook Pro 13". The command 'sudo dmidecode -s
system-product-name' gives me 'MacBookPro5,5'. I've attached the output
of 'lspci'. Neither speakers nor headphone output worked for me with the
default Jaunty install.
After adding (actually, creating this file from scratch -- i
