Could you please reopen the bug?
We want to migrate to 64bit and our home-directories are on an NFS-share. On
graphical login the screen waits (with busy clock) and the system load is
growing and growing.

Hi Storm,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid.
If it remains an issue
This is not a bug in the linux-meta package, moving to the linux
package.
