"MB" is not a meaningful abbreviation to most of our users, and don't
you agree that it should be some other program's job to inform the
user that their trash has grown "too large"? I understand why this
information is useful to you, and probably to many other people, but I
remain unconvinced that
Good question! It's a hard one to justify, I guess it's something I like to
know.
Perhaps a better tooltip would be "15MB currently in trash" .. that way you
know whether you're letting the trash grow too large?

Can you provide an argument for why this is a useful feature? I
personally cannot think of a single reason why a user would need this
bit of information. Empty/Full is the only trash info I can think of
that it is remotely useful. By nature of being "trash", what's in it
should be irrelevant.
