I still see this in Lucid. One further workaround instead of killing the
panel is to change the coordinates of the weather location (in the
time/date applet under Edit->Locations) and save the new coordinates
(and then change them back again). This will update the weather for all
locations.

I haven't yet seen this on lucid, but there's no reason to think it's
been fixed by accident.

What happens if I am not using NM to manage my connection? I am in a
very static, wired-only network here, and TBH, the "Debian way"
(/etc/network/interfaces) seems entirely sufficient to manage the

I should add - I've noticed the problem on my intrepid system, which is
up to date. I haven't run jaunty for any serious period of time that
